NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with a local, state, or federal agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service intended for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its purpose is to identify Washington Parish and Louisiana criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is an independent private reference site with no government connection. It does not keep official criminal records, retrieve records, perform official checks, or submit documents for a visitor.
Its role is to identify custodians such as WPSO, the Washington Parish courts, Louisiana State Police BCII-LCJIS, and the Louisiana State Police Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry, and to provide access to outside research tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
As a condition of use, you agree not to:
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools against the pages
- Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law
- Stalk, threaten, or harass another person with information found here
- Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
- Attempt unauthorized access to any system
- Disrupt performance or interfere with another visitor's use
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
You may not use this site or a linked tool to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct may be criminal. Louisiana restricts misuse of Louisiana State Police Sex Offender and Child Predator Registry information. Registry data serves public safety, not vigilantism, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Our partners and this site do not offer tools designed to assess applicants, renters, insurance risk, or credit. You must not use site or linked data to:
- Decide whether to hire or fire someone
- Screen potential renters or housing applicants
- Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
- Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
- Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules
A regulated purpose requires an appropriate official Louisiana State Police process or an FCRA-compliant screening provider. Louisiana Public Records Law, La. R.S. 44:1 et seq., does not override those duties, and La. R.S. 15:587 controls dissemination of BCII criminal-history information.
5. No Legal Advice
Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Washington Parish records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to a particular matter. Seek advice from a licensed Louisiana attorney.
6. No Warranties
All content and services are offered "as is." We make no promise that:
- The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
- The site will stay up and running without interruptions
- Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
- Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate
Charges may be filed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged after publication, so gaps are unavoidable. No page is an official statement from WPSO, a court, or any government agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links to sheriff sites, court portals, Louisiana agencies, legal-aid organizations, and outside search tools lead to services we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, pricing, or data practices. Review their terms before use.
8. Intellectual Property
Washington Parish Criminal History or its content partners owns the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from that material.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information found here or through a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold us harmless against claims, demands, or legal actions arising from your site use or breach of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.
11. Governing Law
Louisiana law governs these terms. A dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Louisiana.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. A revision takes effect when it is posted here.
13. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or terminate site access at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
14. Severability
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be modified only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
